The Beginning
iVALT® was founded by Baldev Krishan Ph.D. and Brian Stout in 2019 with the vision to enable mobile-based biometric authentication for any application, at any time from anywhere. Their paths crossed previously and they believed that the market would soon be ready for this form of decentralized identity, especially in the wake of 30 years of data breaches, identity fraud, and a lack of end user control over their identity. Proofs of concept (POCs) were quickly developed successfully for several verticals using native mobile phone biometrics, as well as integrating with 3rd party solution providers.
Where We are Going
The vision of iVALT (validated by Gartner, Liminal) and others) is to provide the strongest identity solution through the use of biometrics, device identity and “context” variables, all captured and verified simulateously through independent means. This approach mitigates the risk depending on a single identity attribute. The complexity involved in hacking multi-dimensional identity is about practicality and less about specific technologies. Taken together, multiple attributes are prohibitively difficult for hackers and cannot be scaled for mass attacks. iVALT sees its approach as the foundation for building Zero Trustimplementation
